See California By Road February 16, 2015
Endless possibilities await the adventurous in California, especially for those with a car and plenty of time to explore. Rejecting expensive airfares, many are turning to the road to feed their hunger for travel. With the radio turned up and the changing landscape awaiting, there is no better way to see all that this awe-inspiring state has to offer.
California’s beautiful coastline is one of its biggest attractions. Routes that are particularly enthralling include the famous Highway 1 which passes through Miami, Morro Bay and Carmel-by-the-Sea, a pretty seaside town where Clint Eastwood and Doris Day can often be spotted. North of San Francisco, this same highway is peaceful and the scenery untouched, save for a few quaint towns, Mendocino being one of these. A drive down Interstate 5 from Los Angeles to San Diego also takes in the ocean, the water getting warmer the further South you get. A surfing lesson in Laguna Beach is highly endorsed, though a wetsuit is also recommended.
Inland, California’s Wine Country attracts wine connoisseurs, enthusiasts and novices alike. In Napa Valley, the Silverado Trail is both beautiful and packed with good wineries waiting for samplers. If a quieter environment for tasting is desired, Sonoma, Lodi and Paso Robles also offer some exemplary wines. Perhaps a road trip between several of these areas would prove the perfect mix, depending on how much wine you can drink!
Those who do not own a car, or just want an extra beer along the way, can still experience the American road trip by hiring a limousine. KLS Transportation Services, Inc. provides a service in a number of vehicles from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, allowing you to travel in style, whilst still enjoying the scenery along the way.
Whether driving or being driven, it is just important to make sure to stop often enough to take in the magnificent spectacle that is California!.0
